Welcome back to another exciting school year! We hope you all had a very happy, relaxing and peaceful summer holiday where we were blessed with one of the warmest and sunniest summers on record! Hopefully you are all now ready and recharged for another very busy opening half term!
We have been SO impressed with how well our ten terrific new Reception starters have settled in, picking up new routines very quickly and experiencing aspects of school life such as assemblies, break and lunchtimes, phonics, PE, Forest School and breakfast/tea club for the first time, as well as how well our four fantastic new Key Stage 2 pupils have taken to life at Bosbury, making lots of new friends and generally being very smiley and positive!
Not only have we welcomed new children, we have welcomed new shiny windows, fire exit doors and freshly-painted walls in four of our classrooms as well as the school hall, which have really made a difference to how smart, light and airy are these learnings settings now feel. Our new Class 2 door in particular leading straight out on to the decking is proving incredibly useful!
Next on the agenda is a complete refurbishment of the Key Stage 1 and 2 toilet areas, which we are extremely excited about after having many problems with them last year. We will update you when the Local Authority are able to carry out the work.
We hope your children enjoy these new enhancements to our school, as well as all the brilliant topics and units of work our lovely teachers have planned for the next six weeks; you can find these in the welcome letters included in this week's newsletter. Please get in touch if you have any concerns or problems so that we can resolve them as quickly as possible.
