Parent Partnership FINALLY Returns to Bosbury!

After a wait of over two years (767 days to be exact!) since the UK went into its first national COVID-19 lockdown on that dark day of Monday 23rd March 2020, on Friday we were finally, FINALLY able to throw open the doors of Bosbury CE Primary School and welcome all of our lovely parents, carers and grandparents into the building for our first ever parent partnership event since this horrible virus first arrived on our shores!

It had been a LONG time coming, but we were absolutely thrilled to be able to welcome so many adults into our lovely school to enjoy a brilliant tea party in the hall, being waited on and served delicious cake and warm beverages by our expertly-trained Year 6 waiters and waitresses who had undergone a rigorous selection process by Mrs. McManus (ie, the ability to show impeccable manners to the customers they are serving, and not spilling a single drop of a tea cup filled with water as they carried it around the classroom).

Our very special visitors then joined the pupils in their respective classes for some exciting activities, before enjoying the sunshine with their children as they looked through all of the brilliant work completed in their literacy, numeracy, topic and sketch books so far this year. We are happy to report that behaviour in classrooms from the adults present was of a very high standard, with no-one being moved down to blue!

Our newest pupil in Class 4 was very excited to show her mum the Gold Award she had received for making such a superb start to life at Bosbury School, and even though Class 2 missed the tea party and working with their parents in the classroom due to being in Ledbury for an exciting first swimming lesson of the term, they still made it back in time to spend Green Time with mummies, daddies, grannies, grandads, aunties, uncles, brothers and sisters!

Thank you to all of our lovely visitors who came to share in their child's (or children's!) learning and play on the day - it was SO fantastic to see you all again after spending so long sadly having to keep our school events restricted, and we hope that as many of you as possible can join us for a further tea and coffee morning in the hall on Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:00am to see how we deliver Thrive in our school.

Thank you also to Miss Spence, Miss Cooke, Mr. Smith, Mrs. Bolton and our lovely new school governor Mrs. Pritchard for running the café on the day, to all of our professional Year 6 servers for providing exceptional five-star hospitality and to Mrs. Bentley and Teddy for arranging the flowers so beautifully for each table.

A HUGE thank you also to lovely Bosbury parent Mrs. Donna Christopher for baking all of the delicious cakes for the tea party - absolutely scrumptious!
