Key Stage 2 Enjoy Délicieux French Café!
Oooh la la! Our lucky Key Stage 2 children had a real treat at the end of the last full week of another highly unusual school year when they got to sit all together in the hall to enjoy un magnifique French Café, hosted by Madame Dark!
The hall looked suitably Parisian before la grand petit déjeuner, with each table adorned with familiar French flags thanks to the creative talents of Mrs. Christopherson with appropriate music from the continent playing in the background!
The hungry customers then descended upon the café to enjoy a feast of croissants and other French-themed treats, so much so that we are fairly sure that quite a few regular packed lunches weren't fully eaten later in the day on account of some already-rather full tummies!
Diners young and slightly older alike enjoyed the meal, with our Year 6 pupils in particular having one last chance to eat together in a larger group after Covid had put paid to so many whole-school events over the last fifteen months. The morning even included a really fun quiz compiled by Mrs. Dark to put those clever French-speaking brains to the test!
A HUGE thank you to Mrs. Dark for organizing such an enjoyable (and very tasty!) event to help round off an extraordinarily busy summer term, and to Mrs. Christopherson for providing the decorations.
