Class 4 Become Romans at the Corinium!
Lucky Class 4 had the honour of embarking on Bosbury School's very first school trip of the new academic year this week, travelling along the A417 originally built by the Romans themselves to visit the Corinium Museum in Cirencester as part of their class topic on this famous empire!

The visit began with a very informative talk from one of the museum guides about the origins of Cirencester as a Roman settlement (or Corinium, as it was known back then!), with the staff at the museum being very impressed with the great knowledge which our clever pupils had of the workings of this very advanced civilization!

The class then got to work on the interesting activities scattered behind them, including building their own Roman mosaics, playing some Roman board games (yes, several pupils managed to beat Mr. Ponter!), checking out some real artefacts from the time, and of course, in true ever-keen Bosbury fashion, trying on some authentic AD 150 attire!

After a spot of lunch, the class then spent the afternoon exploring the rest of the museum and its many other artefacts and exhibits. They even found a very nice man who allowed them to try on some centurion headwear!

A HUGE thank you to Mrs. Turnbull for organizing such an enjoyable trip, to Mr. Ponter and Jackie for accompanying the pupils, and of course to the children themselves for being absolute superstars on the day.
VENI, VIDI, VICI!
