Bosbury Remembers Bosbury Reflects Day
Bosbury School held an extremely thought-provoking day of reflection on Thursday during its 'Bosbury Remembers Bosbury Reflects' day.
The children spent the day creating some lovely poppy-themed pieces of artwork which the school plans to display in shop windows in Ledbury in preparation for the town's own service of remembrance and reflection next month to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.
Class 1 also recently made an amazing mural of poppies with the help of Lucien and Rosa's dad Sunny.
Members of local groups like the Cubs, Scouts, Brownies, Beavers and Air Cadets were also allowed to wear their alternative uniforms to school on Thursday as another symbol of remembrance, and as you can see, we had some very smart-looking children in school that day!
Class 5 have also spent the last few weeks creating some incredible pieces of World War I themed creative homework with such a variety of thoughtful creations being brought into school. A small selection is shown below with more being available to see in the Gallery section of the website HERE.
Well done to all of the children for behaving in such a respectful manner and for producing such wonderful pieces of reflective work - look out for their creations on display in shop windows near you soon!
