Bosbury Pupils Prepare Artwork for Her Majesty The Queen's Jubilee!

Bosbury School pupils were specially commissioned just before half term to produce some fittingly patriotic and regal artwork in celebration of Her Majesty The Queen's Platinum Jubilee taking place over the extended Bank Holiday weekend!

The ever-artistic Class 3, days after printing their brilliant T-shirts and bags with the help of local artist and Bosbury parent Sunny Todd as part of this year's Grounds Day, got busy with the scissors, glue sticks, felt tip pens and coloured card in the classroom to produce these splendid Union Jack and crown collages...

... while Class 5 spent the afternoon busily producing their own royal pictures of Her Majesty, the red, white and blue flag, quintessentially British people and objects, and even the odd corgi or two as Ed Sheeran, George Ezra, Katy Perry and One Direction provided the background music to their artistic endeavours!

All of our pupils' amazing regal artwork will be on display over at Bosbury Parish Hall throughout the special Bank Hoilday weekend for all of Her Majesty's loyal subjects to enjoy. There's lots more going on in Bosbury over half term in order to celebrate this historic occasion - just take a look at the timetable of events shown below.

HAPPY HALF TERM BOSBURY, AND ENJOY CELEBRATING THIS MOMENTOUS OCCASION. MANY CONGRATULATIONS TO HER MAJESTY ON ACHIEVING THE EXTRAORDINARY MILESTONE OF SEVENTY YEARS ON THE THRONE!

STOP
THE PRESSES!
A Jubilee-sized well done also to these two super young ladies from Class 2 and 4 Bosbury, who helped to build this truly incredible (and very tall!) straw man which was lit to celebrate Her Majesty's milestone, and also to the very talented young artist from Class 3 shown below.

At the time of writing, this agricultural colossus was voted the best such structure in the country, even receiving recognition from Buckingham Palace itself, while the talented young man pictured above was awarded third prize in the Bishops Frome and Fromes Jubilee Celebration Colouring Competition in the 8-10 year old category.

Congratulations to these three terrifically creative children - amazing achievements for Her Majesty's Jubilee! Don't forget that we are always keen to hear of any brilliant accolades which are lovely pupils receive outside of school - please email them either to Mrs. Bentley at admin@bosbury.hereford.sch.uk, or Miss Spence at head@bosbury.hereford.sch.uk
