A Busy Beeline Festival!
Bosbury School had an extra special treat during the last week before half term as not one, not two, but THREE classes got to visit the Beeline Literacy Festival at the University of Worcester for some fun-filled days of storytelling, illustrating and animation!
Class 2 were the first to visit, getting the chance to have some brilliant stories read to them, before Class 4 got to listen to master storyteller Ben Haggarty as well as meeting Horrible Histories illustrator Martin Brown.
Class 5 then got to experience another amazing tale being performed by Ben in which a mean blacksmith got his comeuppance from his young apprentice Jack, before being taken on a tour of The Hive library (Mrs. Fitzpatrick even took the opportunity to show the class how the system of borrowing books works through swiping out a book of her own for her animal masks after school club session that day!) and then getting the chance to have a go at animating their own cartoon characters with moving limbs made from split pins!
Thank you to all involved in the festival for three wonderful days - we are sure that the children have been inspired in their work by the stories, illustrations and animations they experienced!
