Author Readings and Activities

Lots of authors have begun sharing stories on their websites or YouTube pages for children to watch or creating activities and bonus material. We have listed a selection below, but if your favourite author is not here, do have a look at their website or social media.

  • #phoenixqclub on Twitter – there are lots of comic based activities from The Phoenix comic
  • Alex T Smith @Alex_T_Smith (author of the Claude books) is providing #StoryStarters every day on Twitter
  • Cressida Cowell is reading stories on her YouTube page.
  • Emily Fox (illustrator) – Free drawing activity sheets to download
  • Joanne Nadin – She is reading a story every day on her YouTube page, which can be accessed from her website
  • Michael Rosen – He has lots of videos on his YouTube page which you can link to here
