Pupil Achievements Outside of School
Here we highlight and celebrate the fantastic achievements and activities which our amazing pupils have accomplished or been up to in their own time outside of school.
To get us off to a very musical start for the 2025/26 academic year, many congratulations go to the extremely talented young musician from Class 5 shown on the right here, who recently passed her Grade 1 Piano exam and received this very special certificate from The Music Teachers' Board.
What a truly outstanding achievement! We wish her all the very best for what will no doubt be many stunning future performances on the ivories!
Our keen pupils also got up to a number of sporting activities over the October half term holiday, including the amazing young equestrian from Class 4 shown below.
She chose to represent Bosbury School in her first National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) competition, finishing an extremely respectable individual sixth place in a very large class of horses and riders from other schools.
We wish this promising future Charlotte Dujardin the very best of luck for when she competes in the National Schools Championship at Hickstead this coming August.

Swapping horses' legs for two wheels, a HUGE congratulations also goes to this incredible young man from Class 5, who also managed to secure a sponsorship deal as a member of a motocross team over the holidays.
What a remarkable achievement at such a young age, and we think he really looks the part here giving press conferences in the future!
Going from two wheels to two legs, well done also to the very fit and athletic boy from Class 1 below, who earned a special wristband after running a stunning half marathon distance (13.1 miles!) in a race which took place over half term, while the
He is an extremely diligent runner, taking part in the Hereford Junior Park Run at Hereford Leisure Centre every week without fail, and his commitment is clearly paying off as he zooms off to the front during our daily Mile Runs around the school field!
Staying with sport, the tough and resilient girl from Class 3 shown below impressed down at the Ross Road playing fields in early November by being named Player of the Week for Ledbury Rugby Club's Under 8 team for being a great team player, following the ball well and maintaining a good line, while the talented young lady from Class 5 shown next to her ended 2025 in fantastic style through achieving her Grade 2 Singing for Musical Theatre Performance certificate from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. Such a beautiful singing voice!

This tenacious young lady from Class 4 then kick-started the new year in suitably wintry fashion through spending her Christmas holidays on the piste, achieving her First Star Skiing Badge in the French Alps and coming very close to earning her Second Star Badge. Wow, what a truly 'cool' accolade!
Have you done something brilliant outside of school? Please don't hesitate to get in touch at head@bosbury.herefordshire.sch.uk or admin@bosbury.herefordshire.sch.uk, including a photo or two if possible as well.
We LOVE to hear all about what our amazing pupils have been up to and what they have achieved outside of the school day!
PUPIL ACHIEVEMENTS OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL
2024-2025
Our first out-of-school superstars of 2025 for were these two very talented and theatrical young ladies from Class 4 and 5, who worked extremely hard before and over the Christmas holidays to rehearse for their roles as part of the dance troupe in the Ledbury Amateur Dramatic Society (LADS) pantomime, Beauty and the Beast.
The show was a superb retelling of this classic fairy tale, featuring local pantomime veteran and proprietor of our lovely neighbouring nursery Jack-in-the-Box Mrs. Jackie Barrett in a starring role, as well as ex-Bosbury mum Mrs. Cambridge and ex-pupils Edie, Harriet, Evie and Harry performing some wonderful singing and dancing on-stage!

The end of January also saw this delightful young lady from Class 2 busily training her dog, who went on to perform brilliantly at the Suckley Dog Show and win a whole plethora of rosettes! Lots of well-earned doggy treats as a reward for her lovely canine companion we're sure! Maybe we have a future Ashley and Pudsey in the making...?

We had plenty of extra-curricular superstars throughout the Autumn Term 2024 as well! The lovely young lady from Class 2 below started off the new school year by working really hard to pass her IDTA Ballet Primary Grade exam, gaining the highest level of Commended, before the smiley young man from Class 4 next to her began October by winning the Best Batter Award for the Under 9s team at Eastnor Cricket Club.

The terrific brotherly trio below achieved further success in their motocross pursuits, taking part in the final round of the Welsh Revvi Cup and finishing top of the podium in all their age categories, before going on to place either first or second in the Welsh Open Revvi Championships in November, earning even more silverware for their no doubt already-bursting trophy cabinet!

The end of November saw a remarkable achievement for this incredible young man from Class 5, being awarded the trophy for Under 11 Athlete of the Year at the annual Hereford and County Athletics awards night.
This budding young Lord Seb Coe attended many athletics meets throughout the 2024 track season, ending the outdoor season in trailblazing style through winning both sprints to become county champion for his age group.
He also represented both Herefordshire and Worcestershire at the indoor athletics regional final earlier in the year, and is now competing in a winter season of indoor competitions as well as some extremely chilly outdoor cross country races, before getting back on the track in the spring.
We wish him all the very best in his sporting endeavours, and look forward to hearing about even more sporting success in the future. A gold medal at Brisbane in 2032 perhaps?
The very caring young man from Class 3 below really helped to spread some festive cheer during December at New Start Cat Rescue, a charity which he helps foster kittens for. Each cat at the centre received a toy, treat or blanket from this very jolly young Father Christmas (or should that be Catmas?), and we are very proud of his kindness and consideration for these lovely animals.

Finally, ending on another festive note, this extremely enthusiastic girl from Class 2 has been working so hard with her ballet, even getting the chance to perform in no fewer than FOUR showings of Malvern Ballet School's Christmas production of Peter Pan at the Elim Theatre!
