Courageous Advocacy Award

Another new academic year at Bosbury School brings a brand new weekly award! COURAGEOUS ADVOCACY is when a pupil shows a special determined effort to help improve the lives of others or to help protect, enhance or preserve the environment.

Well done to the determined young man from Class 5 shown below, who is the final  Courageous Advocacy Award winner of the 2022/23 school year for taking it upon himself to write a detailed letter to his parish council, expressing his wish to have a bike track for young people to practise their BMX skills and generally have fun in his village.

He had the courage to present it to the council at their meeting one evening, and was incredibly pleased to learn that they are already considering the idea! He is continuing to work hard over the next stage of the proposal process in the hope that something can be agreed at the next council meeting.

Congratulations to this young man from Year 6 - a true Courageous Advocate in keenly campaigning to help enchance and enrich the lives of others living in his local community.

We wish him the very best of luck with the next stage of the proposal, and also in starting his secondary school journey in September when he leaves us at the end of the school year. We are sure his great confidence and real determination to help others are going to serve him extremely well during his next chapter!
