Pupils Enjoy Brilliant Barbecue!
♫ 'Thursday afternoon, frazzled the sausages, And the rain stayed away!' ♫ It certainly wasn't a case of Barbecue Blues this week when on the penultimate day of term the whole school were treated to a delicious summer barbecue courtesy of FOBS.
Temperatures were just right with a cool breeze accompanying the lovely sunshine, and even though nearly 150 hungry children were queuing up in their droves for this special summer treat, Bosbury's hardened lunchtime crew (and special guest server Mrs. Kaye!) were on top form with the tongs and tomato ketchup for a very quick and efficient turnover of diners.
The food was delicious and many children even had a good go at the salad, couscous and the coleslaw as well. But the big draw of course were those infamous hot dogs and ice-creams, with the former treat even being served with onions this year in authentic fairground fashion. Mr. Ponter liked them so much that he had two!
Well done to all of the children for behaving so well during this busier of lunchtimes in the Bosbury School calendar, to all of the staff who worked so hard to make the feast such a success, to the weather for behaving itself and of course to FOBS for once again funding this wonderful end of year treat for the pupils.
