Post-SATs Party Time for Year 6!
It was party time all round for Year 6 on Friday with a very well-deserved celebration after finally completing all of their SATs tests.
With enough food to feed an army and sink a battleship thanks to the very generous efforts of our lovely Year 6 parents, the day began with a selection of party games with pass the parcel (with forfeits of course!) being a firm favourite before the class indulged in a mountain of cheese sandwiches, cocktail sausages, crisps, carrot sticks and scotch eggs... with even one or two members of staff seen sneaking by for a few nibbles as well!
The class then watched a film and joined forces with Class 3 for a game of rounders in the afternoon as they ended a gruelling week of examinations in fine style. Lucas' mum had even very kindly arranged for each member of the class (as well as Mr. Thompson and Mrs. Lane!) to receive one of these very special Class of 2017 leavers' hoodies. Thank you Mrs. Recordon!
Class 5 also received a very rare whole class Gold Award for working so hard both in revising for and working through their SATs tests. Congratulations Year 6 - we are VERY proud of all of you.
Well done also to Mr. Thompson and Mrs. Lane for all of their hard work during all of those numeracy lessons, literacy lessons and booster sessions before school in helping the children to be ready to take on the tests. Amazing resilience, perseverance and courage has been shown by all and we are very confident that our brilliant pupils are going to produce some incredible results after all of their hard work.
