Goodbye and Good Luck Year 6!
Another last day of the school year and once again we had to say a very fond farewell to a superb, brilliant group of Year 6 children.
In a very emotional final assembly, Mr. Thompson paid tribute to a group of children who feature such a wide range of endearing personalities as well as an extraordinary amount of talent, in particular their amazing musical skills as evident by the superb singing, trumpet, flute, drums, guitar and double bass performances which took place during the assembly, as well as their incredible sporting ability, becoming involved in all areas of the sporting curriculum and winning many competitions.
Who could also forget their incredible performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (more photos in the 'Gallery' section of the website under the 'Curriculum' tab above) as they took on one of the school's first ever purely musical shows with great gusto, leaving not a dry eye in the house by the time the final Any Dream Will Do encore was performed.
Half of the children above have been with the school since their reception days in September 2010, and lots of fond memories were invoked by the slideshow which played during the final assembly. Can you remember all of the special Bosbury moments below?
The children enjoyed a special barbecue on Thursday (thank you to Mrs. Farquhar, Mrs. Bowlcott, Mrs. Betteridge and Mrs. Stevens who came in to help on the day) with just the one casualty of a rather charred burger, before thoroughly enjoying their chance to finally wreak revenge on both Mr. Thompson and Mr. Long in the now-traditional Bosbury Year 6 End of Year Water Fight.
We wish all of our Year 6 leavers the very best for the next chapter of their lives at their respective secondary schools - you have all been absolute assets to the school and we are going to miss all of you hugely. Don't forget to pop in and visit us and let us know how you are getting on.
Thank you also to all of our outgoing Year 6 parents who have been massively supportive of our school over the years - Mrs. Smith for all of her hard work as FOBS chairperson in raising much-needed funds for our school, Mrs. Bailey for all of her costume design work for the performances, Mrs. Drury for her face-painting for the productions and for painting the lovely country mural to hugely brighten up the Class 5 art area, Mrs. Spiller, Mrs. Cambridge, Mrs. Walker, Mrs. Farquhar, Mrs. Ruddick, Mrs. Recordon, Mrs. Stevens and Mrs. Vahey for providing transport and cheering the children on during sporting events... the list of thank yous is endless.
We also have a number of children further down the school who are sadly leaving us at the end of this term as well - best wishes and good luck to Noa and George in Class 1 and to Tom and Sam in Class 2. We will miss you all.
GOODBYE AND GOOD LUCK YEAR 6!
