Crazy Hair for Children in Need!
Well done to all of the children (and staff!) who turned up to school on Friday sporting colourful curls, barmy barnets, peculiar perms and wonderful wigs to mark Bosbury School's first ever Crazy Hair Day in aid of BBC Children in Need.
A great amount was raised in the two collection buckets which the two young ladies below were eagerly rattling at the front of the school that morning, and we were extremely impressed with the imagination and creativity on show with all of the different weird and wonderful hairstyles!
Thank you to all of the children who showed great bravery in sporting these extravagant styles, and to all of the parents who no doubt spent many a frantic half an hour or so on Friday morning preparing these extraordinary cuts! We raised a superb £99.11 in total from everyone's kind donations.
Did you see the incredible amount that was raised in total around the country during the Children in Need telethon on TV that evening? A record-breaking £50.6 million, meaning that the total amount that the charity has raised since its first major appeal in 1980 has now reached over one billion pounds! That's a LOT of crazy hairdos!
