Clubs are BACK for the Summer!
This week saw the welcome return of Bosbury School's famed after-school clubs for the Summer Term, with regular favourites such as gardening club, circuit training, football, netball and choir being joined by a number of brand new offerings such as street and hip hop dance, book illustration, construction and a new Key Stage 1 creative club.
Monday saw the return of Mr. Ponter's gruelling circuits session as Bosbury's very own resident Charlie Dimmock Miss Cooke put her gardening club to work, even coming into school on Sunday to prepare the grounds for the start of the club, while the footballers and netballers were back in action once again with Mr. Long preparing for the summer tournaments.
Tuesday saw the return of paying football as well as the all-new street and hip hop dance club which really gave pupils the chance to strut their stuff, while budding Key Stage 2 artists also started working on some challenging techniques in the brand new book illustration club.
Wednesday then saw the turn of Key Stage 1 to take to the football pitch in preparation for their tournament at Ledbury Primary School on Thursday, with Mr. Dunn's ever-popular film and book club making a welcome return and Mrs. Thompson beginning to train some architects of the future in the brand new construction club. We were also delighted to welcome back past Bosbury member of staff Mrs. Cale on Wednesday once again as she continued to help our young embroiderers get to grips with the materials in textiles club.
Summer sports featured prominently on Thursday with the return of cricket and a massively popular rounders club, while indoors, Key Stage 1 got imaginative with their new creative club while past Bosbury pupil Ben Mowbray made a welcome return with his drama club.
The week then ended with the familiar sounds of Bosbury's trademark drums on Friday morning as samba drumming practice was well underway with Mrs. Walker in preparation for the Bosbury carnival procession on Thursday 25th May, while our choir continued their award-winning singing in the afternoon.
It's looking set to be another incredibly varied term of clubs at Bosbury School - we hope you enjoy them!
