Bosbury School Choir are Herefordshire Champions!
A HUGE congratulations to Bosbury School Choir who this week triumphed to win first place in the Herefordshire Performing Arts Festival to become the county's Primary School Choir of the Year!
Bosbury School's 48 star singers sang their hearts out during the competition held at The Courtyard Theatre in Hereford which included performances from 21 talented schools ranging from choirs, solo singers and musicians consisting of both children and adults to win the contest in typically dramatic style by clocking up 91 points - a single point ahead of runners-up Hereford Cathedral School.
The result was a beautiful trophy and a cheque presented to music teacher Mrs. Walker, and in true talent show style, Bosbury's stellar winners were invited back to perform in a special concert at the The Courtyard that weekend.
Miss Spence was so impressed with the quality of the choir's performance during the competition, saying that their singing made her spine tingle and this was all down to their brilliant attitude and the talent of Mrs. Walker.
Mrs. Walker said that she was so proud of all the children for singing with so much energy and passion against the very tough competition from many of the other schools who had brought along amazing choirs of their own.
Never ones to rest on their laurels however, Mrs. Walker also said that the choir were judged to an extremely high standard and were given a number of improvements points which she was keen to work on immediately.
Congratulations to the choir on their incredible achievement, and a massive thank you and well done also to Mrs. Walker for her endless energy and enthusiasm in tutoring Bosbury's stellar singers to such an amazing standard and for championing both them and their music so passionately.
