Bosbury Pupils get Shipshape!
There was a bit of a nautical theme going on towards the end of the school year as two classes proved that there were certainly no landlubbers amongst their ranks in producing some excellent designs for boats.
Following on from their visit aboard the SS Britain in Bristol a few weeks ago, Class 3 spearheaded the project by working hard on their designs in class before donning their wellies and venturing down to the infamous 'Bosbury Beach' with Mrs. Turnbull to test them. There were several successful voyages - Ledbury folk look out for Bosbury's fleet floating down the Leadon near you soon!
Class 4 then tried their hand at designing boats that were capable of holding a certain weight in the water, making predictions about what will happen to their vessels as well as learning about the concepts of bulkheads, density and air pockets. Very technical!
It is good to know that should you ever find yourself stranded at sea, Bosbury pupils are now experts in this particular field!
