Bosbury Pupils Embark on First Ever Cross Country Walk!
Yet another Bosbury School first took place on Wednesday as nearly the entire school donned their walking shoes, packed their lunches and collected their picnic blankets ready for a lovely cross country walk and picnic in the Bosbury countryside as part of the school's Sports Week.
With Miss Cooke having already planned the route out, every class (bar most of Class 5 who were out enjoying the sound of leather on willow at a cricket tournament in Ledbury) embarked on a lengthy stroll through the fields of Bosbury until rumbling tummies dictated that it was time for a spot at lunch in a field which former school governor Mr. Robert Lane had kindly allowed the staff and children to use as they got to work on flattening the long grass down ready to have their picnic.
Some children however found it just as much fun to camp down in some of the longer grass as the adults quickly became involved in a gruelling game of 'Spot the Child'!
Many of our younger children will have no doubt slept very well that night as we look forward to making this new event a permanent mainstay in the ever-expanding and exciting Bosbury School calendar. We are sure that a particular four-legged member of staff would welcome its return, that's for sure!
