Bosbury Marks International World Peace Day
This Thursday saw Bosbury School hold its first themed Global Day of the new academic year as it observed International World Peace Day 2017 with a variety of different activities and experiences throughout the day designed to increase the children's awareness and understanding of key Christian values such as peace, respect and tolerance of others.
Activities included a workshop on sportsmanship, teamwork and tolerance from our West Bromwich Albion coach Rich, as well as sessions on mindfulness, relaxation techniques, visualisation and reflection from Tia's Dad. Many children even became so relaxed during their meditation lessons from Mr. Gunner that they were very close to falling asleep in the classroom!
Drama club leader and past Bosbury pupil Mr. Mowbray also provided some great drama activities and games for each class in the hall, while Nicky and Catherine also came in during the afternoon to work with each class on some Bible-based activities as the children explored religious themes through Godly play.
The day then ended with the whole school forming a beautiful peace circle on the field as Nicky delivered a prayer and balloons of thanks were released.
Thank you very much to all of our visitors for making the day so special by providing the children with such a varied range of thought-provoking activities.
Look out for the next Bosbury School Global Day coming soon!
