Bosbury Debates Confidently in Inter-School Competition
Well done to this year's Bosbury debating team who took part in an intense afternoon of discussions and arguments in the third annual Worcestershire and Herefordshire Debating Competition held at school.
The team stood up in front of participants from seven other local schools as well as the three guest judges for the afternoon, showing great confidence as well as some very clear and assured speaking as they presented their arguments and opinions on a number of contentious topics such as should homework be banned, and should children be paid to attend school.
Eastnor Primary School were the eventual winners after presenting some particularly articulate and convincing arguments, but the home team still greatly impressed against some very strong competition from the other schools.
Thank you to all of the other schools who took part, to the judges who gave up their time to come and listen to the children make their great cases and arguments, and of course to Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Swain for all of their hard work during the last terms-worth of debating clubs in order to get Team Bosbury ready for this intense competition. We definitely have some potential future young politicians and councillors in the making!
