An Inspiring Two Days of Poetry with James Carter
Bosbury children had a real treat at the start of this week when they got the chance to work for a full two days with esteemed poet and guitarist James Carter.
The children first had a special assembly at the start of the week with James where he demonstrated some of his great poetry and musical work with them, before each class then got to take part in a series of workshops and have a go at writing their own poems with him over the next two days.
The event then ended with a special showcase for parents on Tuesday afternoon in the hall where each class performed their poems, before James gave people the chance to buy some of his books at a special book-signing outside school afterwards.
Thank you very much for James for such an inspiring and enjoyable two days of poetry - this is what he had to say about his visit:
"Miss Spence, you have a truly fabulous school. Teachers and children alike are so warm, responsive, creative, dynamic and innovative. I really could not have had a better two days, and from my point of view, it is so lovely to see a Headteacher so actively involved with the school.
Very best wishes and take care
